Scanfix Module

The Paydata.NET Scanfix Module operates as a fix-and-edit station for MICR characters in the scanline of Payments, and OCR characters in the scanline of Statements. The Scanfix Module has been engineered with both automated and manual functionality.

The introduction of the Scanfix Module to the Paydata.NET product was a fundamental change to the entire workflow of the system. It was strategically designed to maximize productivity and efficiency and thereby increase revenue.

By employing the use of the Scanfix Module, the need to perform MICR repair at KeyInput is eliminated. There are two reasons for this change: (1) KeyInput may be done by any operator with basic keying skills. MICR repair, however, requires a higher level of training because it is a more complicated process, and there is no second chance to review incorrectly repaired MICR. (2) It is more efficient to do either one process or the other. Switching back and forth between the two processes on a check-by-check basis wastes valuable time and efficiency.
